Title: Mozilla Firefox - Home pages
Post by: vidal on July 11, 2008, 11:07:00 AM
Okay new to site and only discovered in last couple of days. However very impressed! So much so that I have made it my home page at the expense of Google.  But there lays my problem.  I would love to have a dual home page facility, ie when I open two tabs on the tab bar for one to be Computer Hope and the other Google.

Any ideas, suggestions?  I doubt its possible but who knows?  I suppose I would like the 'Home' browser icon to default to Computer Hope and when I double click the tab bar for a second tab for it to open in Google.

Could this be a functionality enhancement for Mozilla?

Look forward to replies

It's easy!

Making Multiple Home pages

Firefox allows you to make multiple home pages. When starting Firefox or navigating to the home page it will open multiple tabs, depending on the number of home pages specified.

   1. At the top of the Firefox window on the menu bar, click on the Tools...Options...Preferences....
   2. If it isn't already selected, click the Main icon. The Main options panel is displayed.
   3. After the ending of the current homepage put | and than start your next homepage.
          * For example:

            http://www.yahoo.com/|http://www.mozilla.com/

   4. Click OK. Close the preferences window.
