Your motherboard only supports 1G per slot.  You'll need four sticks of 1G each to get 4Gs.

check the speed of each of your memory... it must have equal speed...

Sounds like you have 2 matched sets purchased at the same time. If correct, seems like many boards of that era that advertised 4 Gb could only run properly sometimes. You may want to check to see if there is a forum that supports your board and see if others have the same problem. Or contact them and see if your RAM is supported.

If you added to existing modules, quite often that does not work.

Best of luck.

Yes they are two match sets, of the same kind.
Thnx
Observe updated patch on website, for board, going to check it out now.

What about the other new stick of RAM? Boot or no boot?

Assuming that you've got the module in the proper slot, sounds like: a) wrong type or b) bad RAM.

Check your motherboard manual to see what slot one module goes into - not unusual for it to be the slot closest to the CPU. Verify the type of RAM including buffered/nonbuffered, voltage, ECC/non-ECC. If everything is correct for your motherboard, RMA the RAM.
