Title: NOrton Anti-Virus Weird Messages at boot up
Post by: famousredhead on August 05, 2008, 03:56:09 PM
When I bootup my Windows XP system, I suddenly get the following:
Error in Rebooting.
Then I get the following message... from my Norton Antivirus:
Too Many bugs or system is unstable.  Then the screen goes and stays black and nothing else happens.

I haven't used this computer for 2 months and it has been turned off.  I start up and now this.  Any clues?

Can you boot into Windows in Safe Mode?

Hi Carbon!  Thanks for getting back.  I assume I can.  I'm using some else's computer right now.  Once I get on in safe mode then what?

Actually I meant if the same thing happens in Safe Mode.

I suggest you test that before we can do anything else.  ;)

When is the last time you ran all the Norton scans ? ?
Or defrag ? ?

There are some darn good FREE alternatives to Norton if you're interested...
Post back and we'll give some suggestions.
