Hello everyone - i hope someone can help me sort this out ! My daughters laptop has just popped its power supply (internal) so is now defunct i have obtained a new laptop for her. her old hard drive is now in a USB drive caddy.
With a fresh install of WIN XP Home on the new laptop i intended to move the contents of her My Documents folder to the new machine however XP won't allow access.
the USB drive is recognised as "E:" by XP and folders etc are visable
Does anyone know of a solution to this ?
thanks
Paul

Does it say 'Access Denied'?
If so, this might be of some use:
