Wow! Big difference!
I had a problem to locate that ASIO DLL, but finally I found it here: http://otachan.com/out_asio(dll).html
Download this: out_asio(dll)_067.7z (dll version) Ver. 0.67 (182KB) (2006/10/4), and unzip it to C:\Program Files\Winamp\plugins
More info about how to do it: http://www.aqvox.de/Asio-USB-Audio-installation-e.htm

HOLY CRAP!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o it sounds sooo much better!!! i cant wait to get my computer running and hear this with a hq soundcard and spears! but just a question in the settings what sounds better a lower or higher buffer size and what about kernal buffers? and the latency compensation what is better a higher or lower?
-
Hmmmm.....perhaps I will try this then...
I will have to dig up my experimental laptop again though. It's buried under...stuff....
-
Sorry for the late post...
Actually, no...I haven't tried it, yet. Only because I've been a little busy. I'm at work, now. When I get home...I'll install and give it a test run.
After reading the article, I thought it would be a good informative post. So far...on my site...I had one review from a Mod. He seemed to think it wouldn't actually benefit the end user. However, from your reactions...it seems it does.
Hope you guys like it!
Steve

Yeah, it definitely works on my Vista. To describe it in one word, the sound is much richer.

Hey anyone I have my songs in a playlist for another player they are a mpl format and Foobar won't play them and my converter won't convert them to any other format.I'm using Switch as a converter any suggestions Thanks :o

please start anoother thread

Does it make any difference with 192 kbps mp3s? If it really makes that big a difference I might actually switch to winamp...
-
I can't answer your specific question, because I have mp3s ranging from 128 to 320kbps, but whatever I listened to sounded better.
-
dont they usually get that way from pirating :o :o i have i honestly do notice a difference on 192
-
dont they usually get that way from pirating
Say again?
-
never mind
-
Well, I tried this out. Luckily I thought to turn down my sound and work my way up...
It doesn't seem to like my SB Live! 24-bit very much (or WinAmp). Loads of very loud crackling. Nothing I changed in the settings made any difference.
-
Sorry to hear that...
Not to imply that you didn't, but did you follow the directions to the letter? If so, were you able to revert back to your previous settings?
Sorry it didn't work out for you...
-
Yeah, went through the directions. I don't have a lot of time to mess with it now though. I was able to remove it until I get time to look at it again on Sunday.
