Title: D3D8.DLL file problem

While trying to open a nnumber of games, I am coming across this error message

The D3D8.DLL file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DdEntry12.

How can I fix this? I am working off of a Toshiba Satelite Pro 4600 with Windows 98 SE on it. If anyone could help me that would be great!
