Hi,
This may have been raised before, but a search did not prove to be the case.
Anyway, I have a PC running Windows XP Pro. It has Office 2003 installed, with a Brother HL-5140 printer attached. All the correct drivers are installed (from what I can see), but I have this niggling problem.
Whenever I print a whole document from Word, to my printer (or any other printer), and the setting for "Pages per sheet" is set to 2; all I get printed is a set of blank pages.
If I then just select to print "Selected Page" (from "Current Range" section), with the same "2 pages per sheet" selected, then this prints out the one page with my selected page on one half the page. If I then select to print the whole document over "2 pages per sheet" the print works fine, and I get what I wanted.
Has anyone else come across a similar issue (maybe with a different printer), and did you get this resolved?
Regards
Richard

Delete and reinstall the printer :)

It's been tried. And made no difference. :'(
Any other suggestions anyone?

What happens if you print from Note pad.
Reinstall word.

What happens if you print from Note pad.
Or anywhere else for that matter.

Notepad does not have the option to print in this manner. As for excel does not have the same options either.
Did not think it was MS word, as everyone here gets the same problem. Seems to have happened after a MS update, but am unsure which one.

Reinstall word.

If that doesn't work, do you think you can do a System Restore to a few days before the problem?

Hmmm, that might prove difficult as it has been ongoing for the past 6 months+
Has nobody else come across this problem?
???

A fresh install of word may help. :-X

I'll try this on my PC and post the results next week.
Thanks
Have a good weekend

You too. ;) ;)

Still the same. I think it must have been a "Windows" update that did this, as everyone has the same issue. And some are on some PC's they are running Windows Vista or Word 2007, with others on Windows XP with Word 2003.

Welcome Back. :)
I think I have found something of some importance....
You said that everyone has the problem. Do you think it may be a problem with the printer?
-
Well, I have moved it from one PC to another, reinstalled the drivers etc. It has not made a bit of difference. Other people in the company have the same printer. I have brought one of the same model to my PC, plugged it in and tried to print. and this printed out as expected. I got someone else to try the same and this too printed.
I then re-connected the original printer, got someone to print a document as 2 pages per sheet, and this worked too.
How strange.....
Thanks for the advice given, as I don't think I would have tried another printer that was the same, without it.
