Title: getting files from program files to all programs

ok, i downloaded a virus about a week ago,  knowing i would have to reinstall, i invested in a external back up drive. i copied all of my programs and all of my files to this. im in the middle of copying all of these files back, and i have some in program files. that i would like to appear in All Programs, but i cant seem to get them to appear.

when i right click the folders that i want to be in all programs, hidden is not checked off. is there any way that i can move those files to all programs? or will i have to reinstall?

1. Programs have to be REINSTALLED. They can't be copied, and pasted.
2. You need to scan all your backed up files with antivirus, because you might have transfered some infection to backup files while your computer was infected.

thanks very much that was the answer i was looking for. i was aware of part two.
