First, I suggest going here, choosing the game, and then click CAN YOU RUN IT.
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

It will tell you what parts of your computer meet the game requirements and what doesn't.

Oh my bad, it was in your first post. School is getting to me.

What is your Processor Speed? (right click My Computer and go to Properties)

Also, when you try to run the game, are there any error messages?

What is wrong exactly?

Hmmmm?

If you're thinking of getting a laptop at a store, I suggest going to a salseman and showing him the specs I posted.
Note: it probably won't come cheap.
If my currency conversion is right, you might need about £800-900, however there are cheaper laptops that can play high-end games.

I'm afraid I'm not the person to ask about buying new computers and laptops.  :-\

However, I know you should be looking for a laptop with at least the same specifications as the recommended requirements for Call of Duty 4.
