Title: Video card manufacturer "n/a"
Post by: iSapphist! on September 02, 2008, 09:32:22 AM
I need to update my video card but I can't find what the manufacturer is so I can download the update from their site. I went to start menu and clicked on run, typed in "dxdiag" and hit OK. The DirectX diagnostic tool opened. Under the Display tab, I should have seen the name of your video card and the manufacturer, but they just said, "n/a."
What does this mean?

My computer is a Windows XP Compaq Presario, model SR1503WM.

Download the drivers from here - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/9033/a08/win2k_xp14103.exe&agr=&ProductID=865&DwnldId=9033&strOSs=&OSFullName=&lang=eng
Install them.
It seems you wiped your PC, so I guess you didn't get the drivers beforehand.
Hope this helps.
