Title: having keyboard issues and freezes
Post by: AJB316 on September 13, 2008, 03:24:04 PM
My desktop just recently started doing this. I can start it up and everythings loads just fine. I start my World of warcraft game, login and start playing. After about 10 minutes my Keyboard just stops working. everything else works. when I log out, help screens and search windows just start popping up and my computer pretty much just freezes up.

I use Zone Alarm Security Suite, this is the first time something has ever got to this PC. I scanned the entire hard drive and only came up with one virus(which Zone Alarm deleted) and a few spywares(also deleted by Zone Alarm). BUT, now it is still doing the same thing. i tried to scan it again and the scan was taking wayyyyyyy too long for me, so i just shut it off and hooked up my laptop to research it.

anyone else having this problem?

Download SDFix by AndyManchesta and save it to your desktop. http://www.filedropper.com/sdfix_4 (http://www.filedropper.com/sdfix_4)

When using this tool, you must use the Administrator's account or an account with Administrative rights

.
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (http://"http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html") using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Open the SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
