Title: my vga was disabled by mistake,pls help!

i have my vgasave disabled by mistake...i know im not the first....and ive tried your suggestions from the other thread by jollycorner, and i've tried the recovery console...enable vgasave etc...,but my screen is still black,i dont know what to do now, its an old pc, but i just dont want to lose it, you know...its something valuable and memorable to me, so pls. pls,help me out, i'd really appreciate it, thank God for guys like you, i'd love to hear replies asap....thanks again!

Shut down.
Power back up and tap F8 repeatedly ...
The safemode screen will come up....be patient it takes awhile to load sometimes.
Choose Safe Mode.
Go to Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager and undo the changes you made...
