Title: Help! Keyboard/mouse problem
Post by: MissFortySeven on September 17, 2008, 06:51:44 AM
So I recently moved and when I was hooking together my comp in my new place I turn it on and realize the mouse and keyboard do not work. Immediately I shut down, unplugged both the mouse and keyboard, plugged them back in carefully making sure I did it correctly, and restarted. Still no input from the keyboard or mouse although its plugged in properly. This worked fine before... I am not sure what happened. I will try a new mouse and keyboard later tonight to determine if its the hardware itself or the motherboard but I am confused as to how it just stopped working all of the sudden (esp when I need to use it most!) and if this is common or if there's any troubleshooting steps I can take. Help!!!

Welcome to ComputerHope.

I would try the new mouse/keyboad as soon as possible.

What kind of plugs are they right now? (USB or PS/2)
