I just reinstalled windows xp home and deleted entire desktop. Now I cannot connect to the internet. Would this have also deleted windows explorer? What now?

and deleted entire desktop
What do you mean here?
-
when I reinstalles windows my whole desktop was lost.
-
Everything is lost when you re-install Windows...
You need to re-create your Desktop and re-install all your programs.
It's a shame you weren't aware of this beforehand.
-
But you still can't connect to the internet?
Hmmm.... ???

es2daniel:
As Patio said, when you reinstall Windows, you start over from scratch.
This also include any components on your computer that didn't come with it initially (like drivers for your network card). If the drivers aren't installed, you're not getting on the net.
So...
Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager button -> do you see any red X's, yellow !'s, or yellow ?'s?

i have installed new drivers on local hard drive but device manager cant find them.
