My mother has an e-machines desktop and last night my sister in law was using it and it worked just fine. My little sister went to use it a few hours ago and for some reason the moniter won't work properly now. the tower starts up properly, and, as anyone that has an e-machines pc knows, when you first start it up the screen shows the e-machines logo, and then it shows some little colored blocks and says no signal and the blocks are red, green, and blue and on each one (in color order) they have a letter, r,g,b. then that will (normally) go away after about 2 seconds and it goes to the windows start up screen then show all user accounts. well, it's getting as far as the screen with the little colored blocks and then it goes off. i called geek squad and they were stumped. they told me to bring it in, but i don't want to if i don't have to. does anyone know what to do? ???

Welcome to ComputerHOpe.
Can you ask your sister exactly what she did?
In the mean time, we need more information. This is a good place to start:
