Hi this computer has just developed an annoyance.
Its an AMD Athalon 1500+ XP sp3, 990 meg RAm.
The auto hide toolbar has been active forever, and I have windows open to full screen, so, when you want a different screen go to the bottom and Auto hide kicks in and you move the mouse to the window you want, click and your away. Move the mouse away from the bottom and auto hide disappears the the other windows you have open.
Well the problem I have developed is, that when I have a window open and want to get a different window, move the mouse to the bottom BUT the selections dont appear.
I have to close the open window THEN go tot the bottom with the mouse and the selections come up. Its quite annoying.
I have been useing this one to download lots of stuff to fix my new one and may have "run" some of the downloaded drivers and accidently installed them to this one, but I dont think thats the case.
Maybe Ive been flicking from the control panel on this one, comparing odds and ends between the two and reset some settings in the DISPLAY START MENU or similar.
Can someone tell how I might be able to fix this please.

Did you try Right Clicking the Task bar and going to Properties?
Make sure Auto-Hide Taskbar and Keep On Top Of Other Windows is Checked.
-
Thanks carbon. Does lock the taskbar do the same thing? It was ticked
-
You can experiment with it.
If Lock the Taskbar is checked, you cannot drag the taskbar around and change positions and stuff.
So problem solved?
-
I'll experiment little by little, ok.. Half solve
Thanks Carbon

The other thing there is the icons have gone from the taskbak, on the left hand side they used to have my mozilla shortcut in there. Now nothing.
-
Unlock the Taskbar and look for any of these Sliders:

Move them left to right and see if you can get those icons to reappear. :)

All fixed. Too many late nights trying to fine tune things.
Thanks again.
Now back to this sound driver.
