Title: firefox question
Post by: toothless on October 15, 2008, 03:09:29 PM
The address bar has a small arrow at the far right.  When I click on this arrow, it displays possibly the browswer history, or it recommends bookmarks or something.  I cleared the history,  ran crap cleaner nothing is changing this list.  This problem all started when I updated to the lastest firefox.  In the least I wish to clear the list,  ideally if that arrow and any drop down list would disappear, I would be very happy. If it is any help there are gold stars on the far right of the history list

toothless,

What you are seeing are your bookmarks. Firefox added this little feature in 3.0.

you can remove this IMO intolerable addition, just google it.

what exactly should I google?  Fireballs - now that you mention it that rss feed can go as well.  All I really want is for the things on my computer to stay familair.  I have neither the time nor the will to invest in learning something new.  If anyone of great importance is listening- please, stop changing things, we do not like unfamilair.
