Title: deleting history
Post by: paulf on October 15, 2008, 07:18:08 PM
I am running IE7 on windows XP, dell comp.
Recently when I try to delete my  browsing history, the deleting history window opens and the green bar starts zipping back and forth and continues until I end task.  What causes this? Is it anything that I have to worry about?
Thanks

Close IE.
Go Start>Control Panel>Internet Options. Can you delete history from there?

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
Try again.

Same thing, Broni. When I can list my history of sites, ctrl+h, I can delete them one at a time, but under internet options....It just keeps running and not deleting

See, if CCleaner will take care of it...
Download, and install CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds. Get "Slim" version.
