Title: computer wont boot

Hi, i have compaq presario, that wont boot, windows xp, I can get to set up screen, but thats it. I tried going to safe mode, last known config, etc. Then it starts and freezes. Put disk in to try recovery, gets to where it is loading files, then nothing.
any ideas?
