Title: New BFG GeForce 260 GPU not working
Post by: FutureTrackStar on November 05, 2008, 07:27:23 PM
I just bought a BFG GeForce 260 GPU. Everything else in my computer is compatible, except for one piece (i believe) my PSU. My power supply is an APEVIA ATX-AS520W found here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817148008

I unplugged everything from my comp except for the cpu, ram, psu, and new vid card. The GPU takes a six pin power connector which splits into two 4-pin molex connectors. I connect everything, turn the computer on, and get a POST beep of 1 long, 3 short, pause, 1 short. I then take out my new video card, put back in my 7600 GT XXX vid card, and it works fine. mobo is ASUS M2N-SLi. My question is: is my PSU capable of running this card? I would think that it is because its a 520W, and the minimum for this card is 500W. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

do you have another computer, with at least a 500w PSU, that you can test the video card on?
