obviously im new to the posting...sorry to use caps lock. Although in my aspect or way of telling someone this who simply did not know, i would say (keeping things positive and professional) "Hello yes i understand you are having some problems. I will continue to help you sir but please refrain from using caps lock. If you didnt know it isn't approved of. Now to get to your problem".

ok my problem has been resolved here with the ati. (self solved), although i still am having problems with my themes not changing. this forum is here: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,70886.0.html

anyone interested in giving a go? its just a "little delema" quote from someone nice  :o
thanks

i was trying to record with an older version of fraps which i guess was my problem. with the older version when i hit the hotkey to record all i saved was a black screen for as long as the video. now with the newer version and also a newly formatted install of the same operating system everything works with the recording. thats the good part. now i am still having trouble with the themes problem. the exact details are at this page. thanks
