Title: Demo Games
Post by: compguy4hire on April 01, 2005, 07:37:15 PM
Hey. I downloaded a demo of Prince of Persia and started playing before I had to go to a voice lesson. I forgot to turn off the game, so my time trial ended by the time I got home! I went into the regristry and edited what I could for the game, but I still cant play it again. Does anyone know how to bypass that? Any comments are welcome! Thanks!

First, uninstall the trail software... Second, go into My Computer -> C: -> Program Files ... Next, look for the manufacturer or game's title (which will be a folder), and delete it. Now, you should be able to play it again...

You could try a registry search for 'prince' and 'persia' and delete any references you can find.
Be careful not to delete anything else though.
Sometimes the traces that are left behind are impossible to find as they are put there to stop people using the software without paying for it.
Reformatting would fix it.  ;D
