Title: Presario 12XL500 Notebook

I have the above computer that will not go past the post screen. I hit f10 at the logo and it shows me the machine is seeing the hard drive and the cdrom. I try to boot from either cd or floppy but it will not. It seems like the machine is locking up on the post screen.  Please help if you know what i can do
