I'm posting this here as the Apple part of the forum seems a bit dead....
as shown in tha ttached screenshot, iTunes has cut off part of all the long file names, often at the same point....
this is just 1 example of this, any ideas?

See here: http://www.apple.com/la/pro/tips/long_name_fix.html

thanks for the idea but thats only in the Apple version of Explorer. iTunes doesnt have it.
it's not that the column width is too narrow, its that the name has actually been cut off!
-
Adjust the column widths at the top of the listing...hover the mouse at the seperators til you see an arrow...
-
if you look at the screenshot, you will see that i have adjusted the column width already, to wider than even the longest name
if you look at for example the song "Bailero", you will see that half of the bracketed text has been cut off.
you understand now?

Did you specify the name tags yourself or did you download/rip the songs this way? It's possible that they just weren't fully encoded.
And what if you try changing the tags and entering the full name? Does it show up or does it still get cut off?

you understand now?
Fully.

Really? :D
