Title: Dump text interpretation?
Post by: Gakkles-3 on December 18, 2008, 07:54:26 AM
I completed my first self-built computer a few weeks ago. It is also my first x64 XP, and it is also my first system using SATA.

I have 2 XP 64s in multiboot, which I'm familiar with.

All is basically okay, but there is something unstable. I sometimes get a BSoD very soon after a restart, suspiciously close to the time Windows has come up and made a full and proper screen display. I get a dump message, and an automatic restart. After that the computer might go all day (and all night) without problems.

I am suspicious that the problem is connected with one of my (many) software apps not working properly with 64-bit. I can easily remove an app or two, but it would take several days, maybe a week, to remove everything and rebuild it, because the system is very complex and meticulously formatted.

Here is my dump message:

[01]OS Major Version:5, Minor Version:2, Build Number:3790, Platform Id:2
[01]wManualLangID = 24951
[01]LangFile_Manual = E:\DOCUME~1\Carson\LOCALS~1\Temp\English.bin
[03] wInitLang = 1033
[03] LangFile_Auto = E:\DOCUME~1\Carson\LOCALS~1\Temp\English.bin

[01]OS Major Version:5, Minor Version:2, Build Number:3790, Platform Id:2
[01]wManualLangID = 24951
[01]LangFile_Manual = E:\DOCUME~1\Carson\LOCALS~1\Temp\English.bin
[03] wInitLang = 1033
[03] LangFile_Auto = E:\DOCUME~1\Carson\LOCALS~1\Temp\English.bin

Thank you.
