Title: Norton Internet Security
Post by: ineedhelp on December 26, 2008, 07:18:28 AM
When I purchased my HP Pavillion last September 2007, Norton Internet Security was installed.  I am now getting message from System Security Firewall Alert say it found 38 viruses.  Does this mean NIS has expired?  Should I buy this again or are there free ways to remove these viruses?  Thanks.

There's a whole topic dedicated to spyware and virus removal, how could you have missed that?

Search Google for AVG Free

You don't know whether it's expired? You had to pay for a subscription to use it before the introductory period when your computer was new.  So, how can you not know?  Besides, Norton surely alerts users when their subscriptions have expired.  Have you not seen this?

I know - shame on me.  I very seldom use my computer other than for emails.  I am on the computer all day long at work and our IT Department takes care of all our needs.
