Title: Trying to max out memory on motherboard
Post by: Briguy on December 26, 2008, 12:22:34 PM
I have a old lucky star k7va133 motherboard which it seems like it's hard to find info about it but does anyone know what the maximum amount of ram I can have in it?

Chipset is a VIA VT8371 Apollo KX133

This article on the chipset says it can do 2 GB max memory support. With three dimm slots on the motherboard I assume I put 1gb and 2x 512mb sticks in it then?

Visit www.crucial.com and use their Memory Advisor tool or System Scanner tool to get some details on the amount of memory your motherboard can support and what configuration of memory modules that would be.
