-
What do you mean by "tab"?
Are we talking about registry?
-

it'll make it quicker for me to respond
[email protected]
its not showing : \Cryptography\Providers :
in the reqistry...it stops at microsoft...shows

-
We don't help solve problems through private sessions, because it's to disadvantage to the other members.

-
ok its showing when the error occured in the event viewer
now how do i repair it...
-
Does Event Viewer report all three files missing?
Using another Windows XP computer, preferably as the same service pack and hotfix level, copy the missing files. If you don't have another Windows XP computer, you may be able to Expand the missing files from the Windows XP CD-ROM.
-
just one....
and would i have to restart in safe mode with networking
for me to be able to send an error report via internet
-
I'm not sure what report you're talking about, but forget report. You need to get that missing file.
Which one of those three is it?
You can get it from Windows XP CD, ask a friend to get a copy, or I can send it to you.
-
my friends arent even into computers like that bro...
i live in the hood...they only want to sell drugs....
but yeah id appreciate if you send it to me
-
i have that OEMBIOS file and i took the one
off my brothers pc and deleted mine and put his on
there and the same thing happend when i tried logging in....
but thats what the event logger shows in the first pic

-
its showing the error is a OEMISO bat file i think
-
We need to know, what exact file, you need. From your screenshot, it looks like "oembios" file (not "oemiso"), but I need to know file's extension.
To see an extension, go Tools>Folder Options>View tab, and UN-check "Hide extensions for known file types".
-
Its a .bat file
-
There is no such file on XP. There is oembios.bin, and oembios.dat
-
Unless it's the sharpie version...
-
Always possible.
-
your right theres a .bin a .dat and a .sig
-
I didn't buy this pc my uncle built it and another one (my lil brothers) just alike in 2002 or 03 I think....but I kept getting genuwine validation errors but id always get a crack or sumthing so it wudnt show so I think that's caughten up with me....I just want to avoid going to geek squad or fire dog...
-
OK. Let's go back to your post #11.
Which oembios file is shown there: .bin, .dat or .sig?
-
There's all 3 of them in the system 32
-
No. Which one shows in Event Viewer as causing problem?
-
hellllllo, i have this situation too. i've followed the steps so far and i've found i have no missing files and the event viewer doesn't show any Windows File Protection event sources. i have the 3 oembios files too...
any suggestions further? working in safe mode 640 480 is driving my eyes mad! i was going to try a system restore but i read it probably wont make any difference. what to do?
>>> edit: just read the hints board - sorry i realise i have hijacked the
is post.. wont do it again. ill start a new topic. apologies

You need to start your own topic.

-
Ok its a .dll file called " oleaccrc.dll "
-
I'm lost. I see from your screenshot oembios file, not oleaccrc.dll
-
But wen I double click on the information it shows that .dll file.
What's your email ill show u another photo.
-
Post it here.
-
I can't...I don't have a pc...I'm talkin on my G1 phone....I can send the pictures in email...enless there's another way....
-
How did you post the picture last time?
-
On my lil brothers pc but for some reason it says it connected
To the internet but it won't let me open any web pages.
-
I'll upload that file for you, but you'll need some computer to download it.
-
I can try my laptop but half of the screen is cracked...I'm waiten for
Geek squad to come get it but alright I can download it usen that...where
Do I put it?
-
File attached.
-
You put it in C:\Windows\system32 folder.
You may need to do it in Safe Mode.
-
ok let me see if it works.
-
it wont even let me delete the old file to put your file
in its place...and when i try to drag to replace it it says
access denied... ???
-
How to do it: http://www.techbytes.ca/techbyte101.html
-
That didn't work....I deleted the old one and put in the new one and
It still didn't work
-
when i create a new registry as it says to do on that site
i can delete the old .dll and put the new one in. but when i restart
the file goes back to the old one and the registry i created is deleted.. >:(
-
ohh in the windows event viewer under file protection...the OLEACCRC.DLL..
AND THE OLEACC.DLL are in there...i just read both errors and those two .dll's werent restored to there original.
-
I think, you're doing something wrong.
You shouldn't be deleting anything, or putting a new file in.
By creating correct registry entry, that file should be replaced automatically on restart. By the system, not you.
-
i do what that site says but when i restart it...
it deletes the new registry i create...both those
.dll's are messed up
-
Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy.
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD.
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.
-
ok ill try that
-
I solve this problem in safe mode,by going to avg vault n restore the infected file.then uninstal avg . Then restart.Try this if u stil got the avg vault infected file.
