Title: My CD-ROM drives aren't being recognized...
Post by: hex- on April 16, 2005, 12:10:15 PM
Yea...they worked before, but recently windows isn't recognizing them. They show up at bootup and in the BIOS settings, I've tried reinstalling them, unplugging and replugging in the IDE cables, running a virus scan...they still show up with a ! in a triangle in the Hardware Manager.

Help?

Did you install anything prior to this?  And what OS are you on?

WindowsXP.

And nothing that I didn't have before I reformatted.

(Had to reformat a few weeks ago, but even after that the CD-ROMs were recognized)
