Title: Weird file
Post by: jakes29 on January 30, 2009, 09:01:37 PM
Anyone know what this is?  It keeps popping up on my desktop and C drive despite several attempts to delete it

.30; NET CLR 3.0.04506.648;Qwest 1.0; QWEST 1.0

Thanks!

Where does it pop up (on the screen)?
How does it pop up?
In what directories does it pop up?

When did it start?

What Operating System?

QWest is a USA DSL provider so maybe I would be asking them.

Is Qwest your DSL provider?  Had you recently run any kind of speed test to test your Internet connection?

this file shows up on my desktop and c drive.  I have tried deleting it and it returns everytime I reboot.  I look in add/remove programs and it's not there.  I am running windows xp and I do not have Qwest as my internet service provider.  I am not sure what a "screen shot" is.

I think I have two seperate issues going on here.  Nonetheless, they showed up again this morning.  Now there are two of these files on my desktop.   I tried print screen but to no avail.
