Title: What's the best OS for a NEW HTPC?
Post by: Truthisone on January 31, 2009, 06:22:58 AM
I have a good processor a q6600 and 4GB ram, plus other componets that will make this a nice system.
The problem is I'm new to Vista and having many problems with the software I want to use. Now I know that there are ways to get around most of Vista's annoying things, but should I just stick with XP or go for Home Media center? Because I just feel like I'm ready to throw my copy of Vista out the window.

What exactly are the advantages Vista has over XP?

Is it graphics, speed, ect?

If you already hate Vista there are only 2 choices...
Install XP.
Or give Vista more time.
You could always set up a dual-boot system as well...

Personally i like Vista.

I will give Vista another try if it has any advantages over XP besides it's interface. What do it do exactly to make your PC perform better?
