Title: Word How to delete double entries
Post by: Thomas Dallen on April 21, 2005, 03:51:57 PM
 ???

Please help, i looked already for hours for a solution, without success.

[glb]The Case:[/glb]

I got a Wordfile with a list of personal data like (name, adress and phonenumber, fax).

The pages are split in two columns and have six tables each (3 each column). Every table contains a persons info.

[glb]Now the problem:[/glb]

Some tables are a several times in the file, but i need them only once.
How can i delete those double entries or data?

handselecting them is to time-consuming (its about 20.000 tables)

Word is not really made for that type of operation.

You could select all, copy, and paste into Excel.  Then use Excel's sorting features to line up the data the way you want it and highlight and delete the extras.
