Title: can't play dvds
Post by: cindy nelson on April 21, 2005, 11:24:52 PM
a few days ago, my screen went black and kept shutting down, then a blue screen popped up and read, setup or system recovery repeatedly. i couldn't get it to do anything else, so I did system recovery which put all the original settings back on my computer. we could play dvds before that happened, now we can't. when we put a dvd in, a screen pops up that says installation error: unable to load interactual player language file \iaresen.dll., reinstall interactual video. when i tried to reinstall , it says i need a cd that came with the computer. i don't think i got one with the computer, so can you tell me how i can reinstall iv.

You could use another DVD player like MS Media Player 10 or WinAmp or DIVX player... there are loads of free players that you can download from the web.
