Title: Trouble getting sound to go through both speakers

Hey i'm trying to get my guitar to play straight into the computer and i'm using a 1/8 mono to mono and 1/8 mono to stereo line in and when i hook the guitar up the sound only comes out of one speaker, not both. I want to record something on Ableton does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Your guitar is not stereo.
But you already know that.
Are you using the line input?
The microphone is mono.
Are you using Audacity to record?
