Title: Startup Error
Post by: Andrew Grant on April 23, 2005, 05:34:35 PM
I just installed Windows 98 SE on an old computer of mine to give it to a family member and when I start the computer up everything goes fine until an error pops up on the screen that says :Disk I/O Error, please replace the disk and hit ENTER" I'm not sure what disk it's takling about or why it's giving me that error. What can I do to fix this problem?

Computer specs: Pentium S Processor 133 mhz, 64 MB Ram, 20 gig hard drive, Windows 98 SE.

Make sure the jumper settings for the  drive is set for Master,
and it's plugged into the Primary IDE Controller.
