Title: Windows XP Virus help
Post by: kellan6 on February 18, 2009, 10:23:40 PM
Hello,
I have a terrible virus on my computer. I've also been looking around the internet for the last two days for a solution to the problem, but nothing is helping. The virus is making my computer start very slow, making System Restore unusable, freezing randomly, saying that I cant use the Registry Editor because it's been locked by the admin (even I am the admin), disconnecting me from my network, and sometimes I can only get explorer.exe running through the Task Manager. Also when I start up the computer all these weird messages come up saying that windows has closed the DHCP Wizard, and other things of that nature.

I really need some help here, I've done at least 10 system scans with BitDefender and it's not helping. Suggestions please!

1. Done, no suspicious programs.
2. Done
3. Windows won't let me run the program, it comes up with the error message "SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
4. After install, a window pops up saying:
"mbam.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because MSVBVM60.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."
5. Done
6. Should I still do this step even though I haven't been able to do step 3 and 4 yet?

No logs available, I guess.

go back to evil's page and do everything to the end and post all the logs , dont worry about  superantispyware  not downloading , it will not if there is a virus , and then wait for an expert to see them , harry
