Title: limited priveleges as a Computer Administrator
Post by: geek hoodlum on March 19, 2009, 03:07:26 AM
Hi Experts, I'm using Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Here's the problem:

I can logon as Computer Administrator in my machine. But I'm not sure if I have all the privileges because everytime I reboot my machine, all files in my desktop and setups made will be gone. (back to zero)

When I view the Control Panel > User Accounts, my account is Administrator. But I think my administrative rights are limited. Please help me. How can I solve this. I want the full administrative rights.

Check your profile settings... your profile could be set up to reinitialize in which any changes or files or folders placed on the desktop are deleted upon log off and back on or restart.

Is this your home computer or was it once part of a corporate network where it may have inherrited a group policy regarding the profile configuration?
