After years of having my Epson 1660 scanner and using it occasionally I've developed a problem. When I try to do scan I get the following message.
Unable to access the scanner because it is not ready or another application is using it. Please make sure the scanner is on and connected to your computer, or close all scanning applications.
I've tried reinstalling the scanner, run virus scans, and Ad-Aware scan for spyware but the problem persists. What should be my next step?
