I thought you said 1993? this would be Apple System 7, for the Apple IIc and IIcx, IIRC, which puts them in the mid-eighties.
-
1983 I Believe
well... 1984 was the original mac, which had system 6, if memory serves.
-
In no order:
Cell phone.
Digital diabetic testing meter.
Flat panel television.
I'd travel back to the 80's -- there's not that large a difference in the technologies in the last decade.
-
I'll bring back the day when we had less of terrorism. Issues like Global Warming had not hurt the earth. One could go out and be confident that he returns home alive.
-
yES i. tHINK THERE WERE mEMORY sERVERS tOO
Dam I hate that Caps Lock !
BC_Programmer said 'If memory serves' as in, 'if I remember correctly'. He didn't say anything about memory servers, which doesn't make sense at all.
And btw, you could have edited your post and typed properly.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
I forget who said that.

Oh you should checkum out they're the latest rage in sound reproduction
aLL THE gEEKS i KNOW ARE INTO 'EM
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/vacuum-tube-applications.html
-
Not only sound, but they were one of the main components of computers, once upon a time.
-
And do you remember the Memory System , It was a 3 dimentional wirin' system that had liddle Donutts that stored a positive or negative charge and a RAM with 248 Bytes only took up 4 stories of a modern Dept Store Bldg
-
Ohhh those things... My guitar amp has some of those... Porbably that old reciver from '83 does too
-
Ah, a tube amplifier -- good for you!
The receiver from '83 -- that's a toss up -- I'd bet it has integrated circuit boards. Not trying to give you a hard time...it was pretty amazing how quickly vacuum tubes left the mainstream electronics.
-
Hmm.. I dont know. Apparently tube amps sound better too. Its a vox 50w
-
lol, creative should make an X-Fi card and replace all the transistors with vacuum tubes.
Sure, it'll be a box three times the size of the PC, but the sound should be great. LOL... reproduce the entire X-Fi chip with vacuum tubes...
-
that would be awesome
-
probably expensive too... but definitely a conversation piece.
-
and a pain in the rear to fix when broken, thats why as soon as they found new technology they improved. Sorry guys/girls sounds like I'mm a little older than some on here...I was born 1971. STOP laughing!
