ah wasnt sure if that would have been safice or not.
-
I got it thanks.
-
I had installed it but its acting like that I have windows on there but I dont. Can I use this with dos? I could use it with a windows machine but not currently.
-
what do you mean it's "acting like you have windows on it" ?
most DOS games simply need the BLASTER environment variable to bet set properly.
-
OH??????? Explain needed.
-
most driver installations will set the BLASTER environment variable for you.
the default, IIRC, is
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D3
which tells the programs that they can find the sound card at address 220, IRQ 5, and DMA 3.
You can usually find these out using a tool provided with the sound card drivers.
-
Ah but dont I have to set the irq?
-
Some of the older games will ask for an IRQ setting within the game.
Does sound work when you turn on the computer, or use other applications?
-
I havent really tried figured that I needed a driver and such.
