Title: keyboard to computer to monitor internal actions

Is there any site on the web or anywhere that will describe in general terms what happens inside a keyboard, computer  and monitor when a certain key is pressed ("C" for instance)?
I don't have a particular problem.  I am just curious about the process.

"How does the keyboard work" with an explanation the talks about the common computer keyboard.
