Title: What Impact does "Modulation Type" make on an overall performance?
Post by: Saurabhdua on April 29, 2009, 06:21:58 AM
Hi Guys! ;)

Changing the "ADSL Modulation Type" from Multi-Mode to GLite has help alleviate the "Blinking ADSL Problem" for me! ::)

That's what my observation says, atleast for a time being! But is it really practical? ???

I mean, does the chosen "Modulation Type" impacts an overall performance & stability of an ADSL Broadband?

Changing to GLite has simply forced modulation to that type.  Multimode is (supposedly) auto-detecting, but that may fail for various reasons.  You can read a bit more about modulation types >here< (http://www.lizardking.biz/tag/dsl-modulation/).

Man..Man! :-X

The link you have posted in this regard seem to be for "Scholars" or the ones indulged in R & D! ::)

Don't you have something related to "Dummies"!? ;D

Moreover, I couldn't see anything related to "Modulation types" in that specific page!

Sorry.  Modulation is an advanced DSL topic...
