Title: Firefox redirection problem
Post by: DangerousRaccoon on May 01, 2009, 01:11:39 PM
Can someone explain this to me?

When I'm on MySpace immediately after a page finishes loading it redirects to the "Love Calculator" website.
When I see all those sms scams on tv I'm irritated nevermind everytime I load a page on MySpace.
It sounded like a virus to me but there are some unusual aspects of this problem:
It only happens on MySpace and it happens on other accounts I sign into. What does this sound like to you?

I think it might have started around the time I loaded a website from a google search and it went to the page then appeared to redirect and start loading a pdf. file? Out of nowhere. After that, Firefox froze and the computer was working slow for the rest of the day.

I just thought I'd add that as it might be specific to a particular virus that you know of.

Thanks!

So it's definitely a virus?  Has anyone else had this problem?

It sounds like a virus.

Does it happen with Internet Explorer?

I'm not sure.. But at one point a "pop-up" was blocked by Internet Explorer. That could have been it. Seeing as MySpace doesn't have pop-ups.
