It's one thing after another with this computer. I can't open any WMV files with this programme any clues??
-
What happens when you try to play one?
-
See, if VLC Player will work: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Thanks guys I'll give it a whirl and ley you know

VLC player has crashed my system 2 times now and I mean dead lock. Can't even ctrl alt del. Had to power off. Any idea why it's affecting my system? It's happened twice. I can watch may be 2 vids on it then the system goes down. I've made my default back to MpcStar because it does not crash but any ideas?

Navigate to: C:\Windows\Minidump folder.
If you see any .dmp files, zip all of them, and attach zipped file to your next reply.
-
minidump is empty... ???
-
Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hold CTRL, and SHIFT, hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy.
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD.
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.
In Vista you will receive the following message: "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations".
-
Indexed locations... 'no items found'??
-
Say again.
-
That was the reply I got..
-
How do i give you a screen dump? I've tried 'prt sc' but that dont seem to work.
-
Press PrtScr, then open Paint, click anywhere on empty space, hold CTRL, and press V.
Save the file as .gif, or .jpeg.
-
Got it saved how do I add it to this thread... Sorry about this Broni I know I'm a pain.
-
Don't worry about it :)
Under Reply window, click on Additional Options..., and click Browse button to find your file.
-
