Iam using window xp in an intel system with 2 gb RAM

How to remove all the traces of registry settings after uninstalling a software?

Can you give me some links which can give me more information on this.

No need to play with the registry unless those leftovers have some impact of normal computer operations.

As Broni said I have found from bitter experience that altering the registry when it's not neccesary is a bad move. Can cause more problems than it solves.
