Title: problem with my ati graphics card please help

i recently bought a new PCI ATI RADEON 9000 256MB, but when i play games the graphics get pretty messed up, i attached a picture of the game so you can all help me please. thank you.

 i have a dell dimension 2400 with 512mb ram running windows xp pro
 256mb ati video card,
 celeron 2.40ghz
 80gb hard drive
