While playing halflife2 deathmatch ect, My computer shuts down for no reason. ???
It only happens when I'm playing games, and rarely when I'm not. :'( some people say that my computer is over-heating, but one time It did it and it was barely hot at all. What is wrong with my computer?

How did you check your temperatures?
Post your temperatures from here:

Then play your game for about 10 minuts, then re-post the temperatures.

I didn't I felt under may laptop and it was hot. I'm very primitive when It comes to that type of shtuff.

Just work on getting the two sets of temperatures.

YIKES! it says its 150 Farenheiete! (sorry I'm not that good at spelling) at one! :o and the coolest one is 104! wow. No wonder... :o

65 Celsius isn't that bad, however I assume this is when your computer is idle.
Try playing a game for a few minutes and see how high it goes.
I'm starting to think that overheating is the problem.

Ok, I might be away, cause it might shut down. lol will it save the prefferences when playing? sometimes it wont even let me play for 4 minutes.

Ok, it is indeed an overheating problem.
Please answer the following questions clearly
What laptop is it? (brand and model number)
What kind of surface is it on?
Are there any fans on the side/back? If so, are they blocked?
Also, has this problem always happened?

I Usually put it on a wooden surface like a desk.
system model: XPS M L530. and also if its needed. its a windows vista home premium 6.0.
Brand: Dell Vista
Fans: I have no clue, If any there may be one on the bottom, inside the comp.
How long this has been accuring: Since I had this computer. but, only one computer game doesn't make it shut down, it's age of mythology. but, It may just have been really cold that day.

Can you find out your Dell's model number?
As for the surface, try playing on a metal or marble surface and see if there is any effect.
In addition to that, you may want to consider purchasing a cooling pad:

You could try it.
Keep in mind that the cooling pad will allow the laptop to function efficiently on all surfaces.
As for the model number, can you just confirm whether or not it's a Dell XPS M1530?

Ok, M1530 is the one I needed to know. You typed ML530 the first time. :P
Looking at the pictures available online, it seems the fan is at the back, left of the screen. Make sure that is not blocked.
It seems overheating is a big problem with this laptop.

With a Dell XPS like yours, you're going to want one with two or more fans spinning at around/above 2000rpm.
