NO

STOP

Jeff Goldblum is not dead.

This forum exists, in case you've forgotten, on the INTERNET, on which you may find a great deal of information, if you so choose.  As long as you're so willing to be led by the nose, give me all of your money.

Three grins  ;D after the death of Michael Jackson?  Really??

Yes, he's responsible for the choices he made throughout his life, and only a handful of people know if the charges made against him are true.  I don't have him up for sainthood, or anything like that...but most of us would do well to be able to use our talents to a fraction of the extent to which he used his.

How many of us would handle domineering parents, and a whole life in the spotlight?  How many of us get to look back, and know that, once upon a time, the world was in the palm of our hand?

Jeff would have made four.  I'm glad he's not dead.

I'm still doing the happy dance about MJ though.  Wouldn't it be a laugh riot if it turns out to have something to do with that O2 tent?

I heard that Rick Moranis died too.

I'm really upset about Micheal Jackson's death. I had this really great joke about him that I can't tell now. :'(

I heard that Rick Moranis died too.

Another hoax. He's not dead. That hoax surfaced in 2004. If it were true, he appeared in Brother Bear II (2006), declined to voice his character in the Ghostbusters game in 2008, and will be appearing in Ghostbusters 3 (2011-12?) all from the grave.

All I've gotta say is good riddance, and, who's gonna replace them? Someone always replaces the fallen ones, and then theres more crap on the off news shows. I hate pop culture, if I get some money I'm moving to the friggin' woods. No cable, I hate TV, absolutely hate it. Use an aircard for internet and I'm good, you cannot escape Verizon here, there everywhere, they used the mountains to there advantage, but I don't think they own half the towers here, I think there rented for mutli-broadcast to multiple companies... Man, who really owns anything anymore but some corporation or the government its self? Did you know that the five major news networks are all government affiliated? MSNBC, Fox, BBC, CNN, and theres another I can't remember... I better shut up before I start ranting again, anyway, one less freak in the world is all I gotta say about MJ. The Texan's would be cheering but his ranch has long been empty.

And I agree with patio, but I like it that way, I don't want to be famous, just want to disappear with the wind one of these days. Be it tomorrow or eighty years and nearly two months from now when I turn 100, I don't care, atleast when I'm dead noone will be bothering me to fix crap.

I'm sorry but the BBC 'British broadcasting centre' is not affiliated with my government. In fact if you work at the BBC you cannot also do any work for the government. Even though Sir Alan Sugar seems to be pushing that boundary.
The BBC 'the largest broadcaster in the world' is technically owned by the public under a royal charter.

They aren't, but they are all biased in one direction or the other.

On a side note, I just heard Michael Jackson's theme song.  Enter the Sand Man

Yes, much is made of media bias, but it isn't always merely a "liberal" bias.  That bias is often corporate, depending upon the owners of the media outlet.
Title: Re: Dead celebrities.
Post by: Mulreay on June 28, 2009, 05:47:42 AM
Well the BBC is unique as it is funded by the British public and can have no affiliations with the government. That's what it stands for.

Hang on a minute. so were paying for your unbiased fewpoint. What a load of tosh. Pay your way United states it costs us £188 per year for our licence. And that's not an option if you have a T.V you pay it. They have detector vans and everything  :o

Then again we did get 'Family Guy'

Oh, we pay...we just pay differently.  We pay cable and satellite companies to bring the signals to us!

Now there are enterprising folks who simply opt for antennas, and are able to get signals that way, but most of us have bought into these other systems.

You can't use those old atennas anymore without a digital converter box. You have to have cable or sattelite to get the BBC. So we are paying for it.

That's ok then  ;) We brits have to pay a licence just to have a T.V. it pay's for the Beeb or BBC. But as I said 'the largest broadcaster in the world'. As long as you like Doctor Who it's all good.

No, he'd be a fourth -- I was thinking of Ed McMahon, Johnny Carson's affable sidekick of thirty years.

Billy weren't but three years older than me!    :o

In the words of Elaina, my brother's fiance, "Its a bad week to be famous, I'm glad I'm a nobody."

And, on the note of the news networks, NBC was bought out back in the 70's when someone was doing a multi-part series on the Kennedy assassination. Guess who bought it? The Bush family, and, speaking of Bush, Texas has there idiot back, and they can KEEP him!

Although, I do admit, Billy Mays dieing seems a bit odd. Of all people, why couldn't it be that German guy duping all his stuff?

What's going on here? Celebrities are dropping like flies. It all started when David Carradine killed himself.

Yeah, David started it all. Didn't even know he was here in Bangkok at the time, was surprised when I saw the news.

You know, it's funny, Death always comes for the celebrities we love. I mean, why doesn't Death ever take the ones we hate. You know, like Rosanne Barr, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Tom Cruise, Courtney Love, O.J. Simpson, or Bobby Brown?
