Title: Get rid of Google!!!
Post by: AngieM on July 04, 2009, 09:02:02 PM
I've tried everything, but I can't get rid of Google. It puts itself as my default toolbar, no matter how many times I've changed it to Yahoo.
I've removed Google from my Control Panel add/remove programs, I've removed it from my Program Files on the C: drive, I've right-clicked on the toolbar empty space and Google isn't even on the list. I am VERY frustrated. Same with the bar across that has a yellow star and says "Favorites." How can I get rid of EVERYTHING up there and have only the Yahoo toolbar, menu bar and the bar right on top where you go directly to the http:... www sites (whatever that bar is called)?
I've wasted way too much time with these issues, please help!  >:(

What browser are you using?

Try and post a screen shot so I can see what you are talking about.

Can you not go into 'tools' on your browser then 'options' select your default homepage. You could also right click on the google toolbar and try to disable it that way. Download Malwarebytes from here

Run a full system scan and let us know how you are getting on.
