My computer was running fine, and my battery died. when I went to start it up again after the battery was re-charged I got the fallowing errors
'windows cannot load the localy stored profile. possible causes of this error include indufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. if this problem persists contact your local administrator'
and then another one shows up saying this
'windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you into a temporary profile.'
when the time was up it loaded me onto a defult desktop. I checked and my programs are all there and work but none of my files are here... any ideas?

Your files will still be there - don't panic!
Which version of Windows is this? In XP, user's files are normally stored under C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]. There will be a few hoops to jump through to set permissions etc. Patience will be needed, I'm afraid! We can help though. :)
